SWZA Vol. 1 is (Over) FUNDED! NEW PROJECT sneak peek! First SWZA Stretch Goal!
over 2 years ago – Sun, Mar 20, 2022 at 07:04:03 AM

Hey folks,

So I have been buried under a writing deadline (finishing up a brand-new screenplay this week), But I wanted to make sure to thank each and every one of you for making my *very first* graphic novel a huge success!

I have been making comics since the fifth grade, and it means so much to me to have made it to this point, where I'm regularly producing stories and creating world for an enthusiastic audience.  This is all I have ever wanted and since you have helped me get to this place, I wanted to return the favor and give you a sneak peek of my NEXT new project with an as-of-yet unnamed artist.

But first...

FIRST SWZA STRETCH GOAL: NEW TAROT!

We have made some really cool tarot cards over the past two years:

Is there a secret message in this reading? Well *I* made it so...

We are less than $300 away from closing in on yet another set. If we can hit $17,000 in the next six days, Luana Vecchio will be returning to create the next six SWZA Major Arcana Tarot cards, which will be: Strength, The Empress, The High Priestess,  Justice, The Hanged Man, and The Hierophant

Everyone who pledges at The Book ($35) level or higher will receive the Strength card absolutely free. (Those of your who got the early bird level just need to add at least $5 to your pledge to qualify).

NEW (SECRET) COMIC PROJECT:

So, in the next few months I and Autonomous Collective will be launching a brand-new title with a HUGELY exciting artist. Think you can guess who it is? Here's a first look at (some) of the characters:

I am SO excited about this.

SWZA SPOTLIGHT:

Finally, I wanted to make sure that after this huge outpouring of support, I spread the love, so here are some interesting (and very important) projects that you need to check out:

TYPE 1 (By NOAH AVERBACH-KATZ)

This is an incredible short film written and starring "Noah AK" of Star-Trek Discovery and his wife Mary Wiseman, who are navigating a post-apocalyptic world in a search of insulin. Noah is a Type 1 diabetic in real life, and this is one of the first films ever to accurately depict what it's like to live with Type 1 Diabetes.

In short, this isn't just an interesting short film from two incredibly talented actors, it's work that matters. Head over there and pledge to help them hit their final stretch goal.

OH! And for SWZA Lore deep cuts, not only am I a backer--but Noah and I actually met playing a post-apocalyptic zombie roleplaying game with Aliza Pearl for charity:

Lots of blood (and limes) were spilled that night. What are you still doing here? Go pledge...and then come back and read the rest.

Cuthulu is Hard to Spell #3

Okay, so as you guys know, I'm a huge fan of combining horror with comedy. This new anthology book is the direct successor to the last one I spotlighted on this campaign. It's by Russell Nohelty who does incredible work. Go pledge to it.

KLAATU #1-4

Speaking of Badass horror anthologies, here's KLAATU:

Nothin' like a skull in a spacesuit

I like to think at this point you all trust me to steer you in the direction of only the most interesting and incredible kickstarters on the platform...but really, projects like this just make everything so easy:  These 4 volumes bring together 48 leading industry creators and emerging talents who unleash their creative visions in 53 unique comics stories. We supported #3 as well, so if you backed them, as a result of our recommendation, now you can get #4. Which features

Eisner Award Winner Ramón K Pérez (Marvel's Wolverine and the X-Men), Ho Che Anderson (Fantagraphic's award winning biography of Martin Luthor King), Scott Hepburn (Marvel's Spider-Man and Deadpool), Marcus To (DC's Batman), Derek Laufman (Star Wars Adventures) and many more.

This book is packed with genre-driven stories of Scifi, Fantasy, Supernatural and beyond! Get it.

Onwards and Upwards,

-Brent
