So, thanks so much for being so patient on this book. I have received both it and Durruti #2 (Both in English and Spanish.) It's the single biggest order I've ever had to fill, but I think you'll agree the wait was worth it!
There were so many of these, that they wouldn't even fit in the van, we had to cut the top layer off the forklift! (The top layer of boxes that is).
Now the books themselves look AMAZING, but if I'm being honest, the most humbling thing about this bookj is just how many people contributed to this book!
Not only that, but THREE of the contributors are really big people in the industry, whether it's Adam Bryce Thomas's absolutely breathtaking inks, Hyeondo Park's Ringo-Award nominated illustration, or Eisner Award WINNER Luana Vecchio's gorgeous inks and colors. This book isn't just a graphic novel, it has a pedigree!
One that boast TWO contributors who are absolute comic legends:
Point is, I am insanely lucky and blessed to work with these folks AND all of you, because without you NONE of this would have happened and this book would not exist. So thank you, from the bottom of my heart.
The first books mailed out will be SWZA #0, Durruti #1 back orders, and SWZA Vol. 1 Paperbacks.
The hardbacks are unfortunately still being printed, and Durruti #2 had some printing errors, so I'm getting a new printing that hopefully should show up any day now. Keep an eye on this page for updates!
Afterall: Into the Void at DragonCon 2023
Huge thanks to all of you who made it out to DragonCon 2023, to get a peek at the exclusive PRE-release of a chapter from Afterall, the sprawling fantasy novel collaboration I and Rogue of Cruxshadows have been working on for more than TEN YEARS:
This is a *LITERAL* "Graphic Novel", not a comic--as in a chapter from a prose novel stretched over 48 GORGEOUS 2-Page spreads. It's not the first chapter, but it's the one we felt worked best as a stand-alone story.
Rogue is by far the most incredible, intelligent, and artistic person I have ever met and the work we've been putting together is just...bonkers. It's the most artistic thing I've done so far (and I was a playwright in New York for a decade). Also, he's still giving away free downloads of his two newest BADASS singles, in exchange for a suggested donation. Please head over, DL them, and toss him whatever you think the songs are worth.
We're still keeping things realated to afterall very "Hush Hush" so if you want to remain in the loop on all this awesome stuff, make sure you follow this account as well as Autonomous Collective for updates.
So, this is my newest comic series, it's a loving comedic/satirical take on the fantasy genre, which if you haven't noticed, I'm kinda all about. Gwendolyn the Vanquisher (of the Valoria Vanquishers There's a ten page preview in the SWZA Vol. 1).
My next scheduled con will be in St. Augustin, Florida. If you're in the area please come by an see me. Depending upon what you got, I may even be able to hand you your books personally.
Well, actually that depends, because...
I have COVID:
One last present from DragonCon. So far it's very mild, and as such I still plan to be at ancient city con, but it may cause a slight delay with your books. We'll see how debilitating it is but I'm hopeful I'll still be able to work while I'm recovering.
Cheers!

So, I can't believe it took this long to get it, but Snow White Zombie Vol. 1 is *finally* on its way to the printers!
Thank you for bearing with me. I never could've guessed just how involved of a process it is, and how much time it takes to put one of these together.
While you wait, I'd like to share with you my retrospective on the series to date:
Also, the minor arcana tarot are continuing to be made, and...good god ya'll:
This deck is going to be SO amazing when it's done. Can't wait to get it to you.
I am getting pages back on Durruti #3 and, man oh man, Juan has really outdone himself:
I'll be sending them to be colored soon.

SWZA Vol 1 is HERE! + SWZA Issue #5 Artist Reveal!
– Tue, May 09, 2023 at 09:34:17 PM
Hey folks!
So first off, thank you for bearing with me. Before this whole process began I said to myself "It's just a trade! Just slap a bunch of comics together and I'm good to go!"
Unfortunately, while I was thinking about this, there was something I had forgotten about myself: I am clinically unable to half-ass something. (Well, that's not true, I half-ass things all the time, just never my art).
Instead of taking up three to six pages, BOTH artists (Kit and Ralf) wound up giving me 11 each (Which of course I had decided to ask for, for creative reasons).
Juggling schedules and artists and printing + production between cons and publisher deadlines stretched this thing out for *forever*. However, I think once you see the book you'll agree with me that it was well worth it:
And yes, you saw right Neil Gaiman gave me his *personal* permission to open SWZA Vol. 1 with part of his classic poem "Fairy Reel" which fits SWZA in so many ways I justcan't even...
Gaiman is a big reason that I'm in this business and it means so much for him to be giving SWZA the time of day.
Anyway, I promised you 150+ and we've got over 200 pages of awesome new digital content, like:
SWZA #5 ARTIST REVEAL:
And of course, I can now announce the NEXT artist to do a run on the book (Drumroll Please):
Adam has done some PHENOMENAL covers for us in the past, and he's basing this run on Berserk so I really can't wait to show the work he's done to you. I mean, just LOOK at this:
A link to a download of the digital book *should* be in your inbox as we speak. It is important that you DL this issue because there's a bunch of additional material that expands on BOTH the physical books,so no matter which book you're getting, there's even MORE in this digital delux edition!
DURRUTI #2 FOR UKRAINE
Hey, so one last thing: the Durruti #2 indiegogo is having a bit of trouble. A big part of this is me having no presence on indiegogo so I'm really hoping you guys can help me (and Ukrainian Civilians) out. We have just ten days left and we're $1000 below our goal. Please head over and pledge so I can get this money to Razom for Ukraine, and a kickass exclusive Durruti Cover to you!
Thanks so much, both for your support, and for waiting this long, for what is, a superior book to most kickstarter trades!
Cheers,
Brent
SWZA Digital Update + SWZA #1 LEGENDARY + Razom Fundraiser
over 1 year ago
– Thu, Apr 06, 2023 at 07:10:12 AM
Hey folks,
So, first thing's first the SWZA Vol. 1 work is still taking longer than expected. However, what I am getting back is GORGEOUS so it will be worth the wait--Here's a little taste of what I can show you without spoiling anything. First up:
SWZA Vol. 1 Digital Update:
Back in 2010, when the show was only ten minutes long and was just titled Snow White Zombie our director, the incomparable Leta Tremblay got everyone together for a photo shoot in central park. These images (shot by Brian Hashimoto) wound up being so iconic that they went on to inspire the book itself.
From (top) left to right we have the entire main cast: Parker Levinter as Rapunzel, Adam La Faci as Prince Charming, Lucia Brizzi as Snow White, Joshua Conner as The Big Bad (Granny) Wolf.
It's been over a decade since then, and everyone has gone on to do some amazing things, but looking back on this time I'm struck by just what an exciting time that was.
I'm absolutely nuts for the Tarot cards getting worked into a series of arcane glyphs. Dunno exactly what kind of magic I'm unleashing by doing so, but whatever it is, It'll definitely be interesting. ;)
The covers gallery is arranged by artist, AND features a look at what's to come...which, spoiler gets even crazier than what we've seen in SWZA #1-#4.
So hang in there *just* a little bit longer. We should be getting the finished digital PDF and then going to print the same day.
SWZA #1 Legendary Release:
Beyond the scout re-release (Which sold out issue #0 AND issue #1 before the books even hit the shelves) I am happy to announce that Scout Comics is releasing a special, LEGENDARY version of issue #1. What does that mean? Well, in your local comic shop you'll be able to get an *insanely* rare version of SWZA #1, which is entirely in black-and-white so you can fully appreciate just how intricate and magnificent Hyeondo Park's Inks are. I mean LOOK at this:
This version is gonna go quick, so if you want to get it, ask your shop to pre order it for you. SWZA usually sells out in just a few hours, but, you my backers know about this before anyone else does, so you can be sure not to miss out.
So, if you're a backer on Durruti #2, the digital issue is actually going out tonight. I wanted to remind everyone to go and grab yourself a copy of the Razom for Ukraine exclusive cover, featuring Ukrainian anarchist Nestor Makhno mowing down white Russians with his tachanka:
Since I have no presence on Indiegogo, I could *really* use your support, and you'll get an exclusive "Calvin & Hobbes" style Durruti Print absolutely free:
The goal is just $1500, and 30% of each pledge will be going to Razom for Ukraine, but I'm gonna need your help to get us there. If you haven't gotten Durruti #2 yet, or even if you have, please go and pledge. You'll be glad you did and you just might help to save someone's life AND get a great, rare comic at the same time.
One of my favorite things about putting out comics on kickstarter is I get to tell you about other awesome creators and champion books I believe in. This one is put out by Tpub who did Amputation Capital (which I also plugged).
This book has a Bloodborne feel to the art, and has JUSSST the right mix of "gore" and "gorgeous" sure to excite any horror fan, so go check em out.
